- II) Google AdWords conversion tracking
We use Google conversion tracking to collect statistical information on the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website. Google AdWords will set a cookie (see paragraph 5) on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad.
These cookies expire after 30 days and cannot be used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the AdWords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can see that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page.
Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be tracked through the AdWords customer’s Web pages. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers will see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, they do not receive any information that allows them to identify users personally.
Our website uses plugins from Google’s YouTube site. This website is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to attribute your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to worry about such cookies when viewing YouTube videos. Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the saving of cookies in your browser.
The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
We use the marketing and remarketing services (“Google Marketing Services” for short) of Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, (“Google”).
The Google marketing services allow us to target ads for and on our site in order to present users only with ads that potentially match their interests. If, for example, users see ads for products they are interested in on other websites, this is referred to as “remarketing”. For these purposes, when our and other websites on which Google marketing services are active are accessed, Google directly executes a code from Google and (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as “web beacons”) are integrated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user’s device (comparable technologies can also be used instead of cookies). Cookies can be set by various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com. This contains information on visited websites, content interests and offers clicked, furthermore technical information about browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time as well as further information about the use of the online offer. The user’s IP address is also recorded. However, within the framework of Google Analytics, the IP address is shortened within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the European Economic Area Agreement and only in exceptional cases completely transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address is not combined with the user’s data within other Google offers. The above information may also be linked to such information from other sources. If the user then visits other websites, the ads tailored to his interests can be displayed.
Users’ data is processed pseudonymously within the framework of Google marketing services. This means that Google does not store and process, for example, the names or e-mail addresses of users, but processes the relevant data cookie-related within pseudonymous user profiles. This means from Google’s point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected about users by DoubleClick is transmitted to Google and stored on Google’s servers in the USA.
One of the Google marketing services we use is the online advertising program “Google AdWords”. In the case of Google AdWords, each AdWords customer receives a different “conversion cookie”. Cookies cannot therefore be traced through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected by the cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that personally identifies users.
Another Google marketing service we use is the “Google Tag Manager”, which can be used to integrate other Google analysis and marketing services into our website (e.g. “AdWords”, “DoubleClick” or “Google Analytics”).
Further information on Google’s use of data for marketing purposes can be found on the overview page: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads, Google’s data protection declaration can be accessed at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy
If you wish to object to the collection by Google marketing services, you can use the setting and opt-out options provided by Google: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google to uniformly display fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required Web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
To do this, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a default font is used by your computer.
Use of code.jquery.com
This site uses jQuery Migrate for the stability of jQuery technologies. In this respect, program libraries are called from jQuery servers. Google’s CDN (Content delivery network) is used. If you previously used jQuery Migrate on another page of the jQuery CDN, your browser will revert to the cached copy. If this is not the case, you will need to download data from your browser to the jQuery Foundation (“jQuery.org”). Your data will be transferred to the USA. For more information, visit https://code.jquery.com/ and the jQuery Foundation Code of Conduct.
